Set A consists of the elements {1,3,5,7}. If Set B consists of the elements {12,14,16,x}, and the standard deviation of Set B is higher than that of Set A, then which of the following is a possible value of x ?

I. 18
II. 19
III. 20

A. I only
B. II only
C. III only
D. II and III only
E. I, II, and III

Standard deviation tells how far values are from mean & dispersed from each other.

Quick way is to calculate the range, ideally higher the range, higher the value dispersed from each other & mean

Range of set 1 is 6
Range of set 2 while considering 18,19 & 20 is 6,7 & 8 respectively
