Hello
pepethefrog,
It seems like you've put in a lot of effort and have been consistently scoring well on your practice exams. A 660 on the official GMAT is still a respectable score, but if you believe you can do better and you have concerns about the math section, it might be worth considering the GRE as an alternative.
The GRE is a different exam that may play to your strengths, especially if you feel more comfortable with the format and content of its math section. Business schools typically accept both GMAT and GRE scores, so you shouldn't worry too much about coming from a business background or the finance industry. Admissions committees are generally open to applicants from diverse backgrounds.
Ultimately, the decision to switch to the GRE or stick with the GMAT depends on your comfort level with each exam and your confidence in achieving a higher score. If you believe you can overcome your struggles with the GMAT math section through more preparation and practice, then that could be a viable path as well.
In any case, keep up the good work with your practice tests and preparation. With determination and focused effort, you have a good chance of achieving the score you desire, whether on the GMAT or the GRE.
Best of luck!

Hi everyone,
I come from a business background. Top school -> top firm but I have always always always struggled with standardized testing.
I recently took the official exam and got a 660. On all six mocks I took I got 700+ (710, 720, 730).
I didn't feel nervous so I was a little surprised by how low the score was.
I think I've been struggling with the math section a lot as I got the 54th percentile for math (V35 and Q47). Is it better to switch and take the GRE?
I'm not sure if this would be alright given that I come from a business background and am in the finance industry. I also went to a business school for undergrad.
Should I just stick it out and try to focus on my GMAT score or should I just pivot?
For reference my other mocks were:
May Mock 2: 720 | V 39 Q 49
June Mock 3: 730 | V 41 Q 49
July Mock 4: 710 | V 40 Q 47
July Mock 5: 710 | V 41 Q 46
July Mock 6: 720 | V 41 Q 48
