Some of the positives: the MAP program makes it so you experience consulting before your internship. It's less expensive with tuition and living expenses and I think being in a college town is more of an authentic experience than a big city. It's freezing cold but cold hands warm hearts. You are less than an hour from Detroit where there is a huge middle eastern community.

Hi,
I have applied to 13 schools this year, got only 1 admit from Ross
I got rejected from HBS, YSOM, Stern, Kellogg, Booth, CBS, Anderson, LBS
WLed in Haas, Johnson and Fuqua
I can’t decide on whether I should just go with Ross if it’s the only admit I have in the next month (I need to get things done for scholarship and funds so I have to decide on which school early), or wait for another year and re-apply?
I have 3 YOE, Middle Eastern, 158Q and 153V in GRE, 3.7 GPA.
I don’t know if I might have better chances next year when I improve my WE, or if I should just take what I have now and go with Ross.
I just don’t know if Ross will get me to where I want post-MBA which is consulting. And I’m not sure if it will provide me the same MBA experience as other top schools.
Personally, I really want to do an MBA this year, timing is perfect for me and tbh, I really want to live this experience of living abroad in the US. But I also want to combine it with a good school that will offer me great opportunities like other top schools.
WDYT?

Hi,
Thanks a lot for the response!
I’m only saying this because I rarely see Ross grads work in MBB in my region, they are mostly HBS, INSEAD, LBS and Booth grads.
I’m in between two ideas that are making me unsure:
- The MBA Experience: I have been dreaming about doing an MBA and living in the US my whole life, while Ann Arbor seems like a great city, I don’t know if i’ll be able to “live” this experience, I keep thinking that even if I live in an urban city, I’ll mostly be busy studying and won’t have time for city fun, plus I can travel in the 2nd year and go to the cities I like.
- Ross’s reputation in the middle east and my country: Like I mentioned above, Ross is not very well known in my country and employers here realllly care about names and rankings. I still think that it is indeed a good school but I’m worried that I won’t be able to get the opportunities I want in MBB
