Hi inesip,

You should go ahead and share the scores anyway as the process is free of cost. An improved score can always be sent in later.

All the best!

I just received my GMAT results and I’m satisfied with my score, but I plan to retake the exam to strengthen my application to MBA programs. Should I send my current score to schools during the free reporting period, and then send an updated score if I improve? Or would it be better to wait until after I take the second test?
Thanks!

Everyone worries about whether sending multiple scores with an improvement on the second batch some how hurts your chances. It doesn't.

The AdComm's don't spend that much time analysing the pattern of your scores. They typically take the best one, since it speaks to how well you can perform after a good solid study effort (exactly what they want to understand about your ability to cope with the MBA program).

If anything, a score improvement shows that you're committed and ready to put in the hard work to achieve your best.

Just take your current score to be the best score until you have the next, better score in hand.
