Is there any news available of the adcom visiting cities outside US for R1 interviews? Can any of the non US applicants on GMAT Club invited for interview clarify this?

what do you mean by 'news'? They already visited out of US locations for R1 interviews....

well, as I understood from adcom all interviewers are back to the US from international interviews by Mid Jan.

I am in CHina. I got my interview invitation on 12/21/2011 and finished interview on 01/13/2012 in Shanghai.

Did you folks get this today? Why are they still sending out this pre-application emails? I submitted my application for R2 and still receiving this!

Frankly this has taken so long that I think most folks are assuming a ding... will be a happy surprise for whoever gets deferred to R2 instead. Though hopefully they'll already have received admission elsewhere by then!

I believe it is all via email. Looking at old threads, it seems like it comes out pretty late in the day though.
