@snickerdoodle. I believe so. Granted a good amount of the admits reported calls in the morning of decision day, there were a couple who just got the status update email at decision time.

The wait would just be oh so grueling to not get called earlier in the day (assuming adcom follows the same pattern as in R1)

I certainly don't expect any calls to go out today.. But hey, there may be some rockstar somewhere out there that they can't wait to give the good news :)

So if we do not get a call in the morning we should try not to freak out? I already could not sleep last night.
As far as I know we should not expect too many calls at all and especially these calls in advance... So I am afraid we all have to be ready to wait for one more day.

If I were in admissions reading this board I would be laughing at myself :). I am going to try to do some positive visualizing exercises to get through this!

Still concerned that I was not asked many data-gathering type questions!!

Yikes. Looks like only a handful (a few more on the next few pages) but still comparatively rare. Still...what a surprise end to what must have been a brutal day of waiting for some folks.

Yes, agreed. Now everyone who doesn't get a call will be hoping that they still might be admitted via the Internet! It seems like the 2 people who I recall did not get a phone call right away were international applicants though: Mexico and Singapore. I know that poem (who lives in Singapore) was later offered a fellowship to Sloan too so it does not seem to be indicative of how much they like the applicant! I also know that last year, mbaover30 got the news of his admission online but then got a call 2 days later informing him that he was being offered some scholarship money. So who knows. We'll just have to see how tomorrow goes. Best of luck to everyone!
