I didn'te get any "MIT Sloan Interview Thank You" email :/ - What could that mean, I wonder :(

Did you send your interviewer a thank you email? I did. So maybe that is why I got it?

It could also just be in your spam box? Or it could just be sent to people who interviewed with them on-campus? Or an interviewer specific thing? My email was from Becca Honohan but was thanking me on behalf of my interviewer for coming and for visiting campus. (I interviewed on-campus last week).

If one goes back to page 43 or so, you'll see the admits in R1 got calls, like other schools. Make sure to bring your charger to work on the 1st!

GREAT. So I *AM* going to have to stare at my phone all day long and will it to ring.

I did send a thank you email and I was interviewed on-campus. I did have a different interviewer though. Still - strange :/ No point thinking into it I guess.

Review the timelines Sloan has on the site. I'm on mobile so can't link now. But either you were invited a few weeks ago or sent a ding or WL at the time. You may want to log into your account. I'm pretty sure they notify everyone either way (whether you were invited or not) so you may have missed a communication?

Sloan invited people for interviews between Feb 14th and Feb 28th. I believe that they have concluded all of their interviews by now. So like joy said, you were unfortunately dinged or waitlisted. My understanding is that if they invite someone to interview and he or she does not reply, they pick up the phone and call to make sure that the person did not miss their email somehow.

I was not interviewed by Becca. She just sent the email on my interviewer's behalf.

That is odd though. I think that a few people mention getting an email from Becca in R1 too but I don't think that meant anything (an offer/WL/ding) back then. I've been under the gun trying to get some other stuff out this week that I have not had time to check (nor did I want to worry myself any more than I already am!)

FROM Sloan Admissions Blog: Update & Sloan Innovation Period
It is officially springtime in Boston! We are hopeful that the next few weeks will bring warmer weather and outdoor activities for the MIT Sloan community to enjoy. Here in the Admissions Office, we are in the final stages of the 2014 application season. MBA Round 2 applicants will receive decisions on Tuesday, April 1. I wanted to take the time to thank all applicants for applying to MIT Sloan. It was a very competitive year for the MBA, MFin, and MSMS programs, and the Admissions Team enjoyed learning about you throughout this process.

During the spring semester, some students use Sloan Innovation Period (SIP) and spring break for their on-site visits to host companies  as part of their Action Learning Labs. Both China and India Lab students headed off to their respective countries for an intensive two weeks working on their projects and connecting with company representatives. Check out the incredible experience MBA student Nadir Vissanjy had last week in Beijing.

Sloanies traveled to some amazing locations on their treks and study tours – Japan, Morocco, New York City, Israel, Palestine, Sweden, Spain, and Germany. Entrepreneurship & Innovation Track students also took a trip to the venture capital community in Northern California on the Silicon Valley Study Tour. They had the opportunity to meet with founders and CEOs of startups and successful enterprises in various fields of their interests. Be sure to keep checking the MIT Sloan Student Blog for more SIP stories!

Got admitted into several schools by now, but Sloan remains #1 choice... How do you guys handle your waiting time?

Not well. I'm trying to get my brain to focus on work but I keep coming back here even though I know there are no meaningful updates. Oh well, <32h left now

Pretty nerve-racking init? I know the feeling.

If tomorrow's anything like R1, admits start getting called super early in the morning and the calls continue rolling till the deadline... Makes for an interesting day.

And oh yes, it will be April fools!

So if we do not get a call in the morning we should try not to freak out? I already could not sleep last night.

As far as I know we should not expect too many calls at all and especially these calls in advance... So I am afraid we all have to be ready to wait for one more day.

yeah...it's a fools day that makes tomorrow even more special -)
