Hi all, I'm trying to decide which school best for me and I would appreciate your feedback. I was accepted to Sloan (no $) and Darden (full ride), but I'm having trouble deciding if the debt that I would take on at Sloan would be worth it in the long run. Is the Sloan brand worth the money? I like both school's cultures, communities, and locations and I see myself as a great fit at either. I'm looking to go into either consulting or the entrepreneurship after my MBA.

It sounds like money is the tie-breaker and you're wondering how much better the Sloan brand is compared to Darden. If you like both places, I'd say take the full-ride. This is a top-10 vs. top-15 school, and most people would place Sloan in the bottom-half of the top 10. For me, the difference isn't great enough to turn down $100K.

Great great schools to choose from. My two cents is that if you are looking to go into consulting, take the money from Darden. There really isn’t too much difference in opportunity between a top 10 vs. top 15 school. However, if you are looking into entrepreneurship, it would behoove you to be at a place where the entrepreneurial spirit is in the air. Sloan is only 2nd to Stanford in that subject. There are tons of resources from the school and from Boston’s location. Sloan puts together one of the best start up competition, allowing you to practice pitching, and get you exposure to VCs. Boston provides a much much better access to VCs. The higher potential of capital you can raise will offset that tuition you will save.
