B as ... as is a comparison structure. POE.
C Because of - of is a problem here. Also 'who' should be closer to young graduates rather than work force.
D is why - POE

Out of A and E, A is concise. Explains seems to describe the complete clause too.

A is clear winner.

+1 A

A - Correct: so...that
B - Changes the meaning
C - Wordy
D - GMAT usually hates the sentences that begin with "that". In this case you have to usea a "Placeholder IT".
E - S-V ; changes the meaning

I dont know why I failed gmat
why clause can not be after to be

this situation is why clause

not grammatical , not logic. there is no this sentence in english.

this situation is the reason why
