I have a serious problem with using this trick often whenever i find too many comma's in sentence in SC, I try to remove the line between two commas since it is non essential and the sentence should make perfect sense if this doesn't happen the sentence option is wrong.However I have come across a bit of too many exceptions such as this one. In this sentence if I remove the colored part [ ,if one were....separate nation,] The right option should still make sense without it however no option makes sense as It refers to Economic Development corporation which makes no sense.Please someone help me with this and guide me the right way to use this trick
According to the Economic Development Corporation of Los Angeles County, if one were to count the Los Angeles metropolitan area as a separate nation, it would have the world's eleventh largest gross national product, that is bigger than that of Australia, Mexico, or the Netherlands. Deeptanshu02, do not ignore phrases between coma. It is not good trick. I also used to ignore sentences between coma but I learnt that it is path to failure. Many times, words within coma gives right direction towards correct answer and meaning of sentence.
