Hi All,

I am a new entrant to this forum. I have just given my GMAT a couple of days back and was horrified by my score (520 score (Q39, V23).

Actually, I have been shortlisted for the executive MBA for a premier B School in India and have a work experience of more than 12 years. Hence, a not-so-exceptional GMAT score (less then 700) can be offset by my profile, work experience and other details.

The deadline for submitting the GMAT score is 31st August. I am planning to re-appear for GMAT and focus majorly on the Verbal part.
I would be pleased with a score in the range of 650. (it would keep me "in the game" as opposed to my current score).

Can you guys assist me with work on my Verbal part especially the CR and the SC part? ( I can spare an average of 3 hours per day for 12 days)

I know I am running out of time and hoping against hope, but any guidance or assistance provided would be highly appreciated.

I would recommend that you look at egmat or empowergmat for verbal portion. If you are a non native English speaker, eGMAT's SC course is very well reviewed and received course for non-natives. The other courses/resources available are:

Make sure to base your practice of concepts on questions provided in the official guide and verbal review guides (https://www.amazon.com/Official-Verbal-R ... b_title_bk) and (https://www.amazon.com/Official-Review-O ... p_rm_img_1) and GMATPREP question bank 1 (if time permits, https://www.mba.com/global/store/store-c ... ack-1.aspx).

Do make sure to give 2 GMATPREP mocks to gauge your true level (if possible an even buy exam pack 1 from https://www.mba.com/global/store/store-c ... ack-1.aspx to have 2 more mocksand keep an error log to note what question types are you most faltering on.

As for a condensed version,

For CR: Powerscore CR bible and eGMAT CR course pack is a good combination.

For SC: Manhattan GMAT SC and eGMAT SC are good.
