How are we feeling about the waitlist as the Round 3 deadline approaches? I'm feeling a little over it and more settled on my second choice school. Did anyone submit an additional letter of interest after being waitlisted in Round 1?

Same here, to be honest I did fill in the survey stating that I'm still interested, but no additional letter

Anyone still on the waitlist for the summer? Does anyone know how high the chances would be at this point?

I've seen past years have ranges of 15 to 25 students left at this point, but I think there is a higher number of waitlisted applicants given the lower total number of applicants (and thus higher chance of cross admits between HBS and GSB). In past years, have been at least a few GSB waitlist admits around June 7 (next Friday), so fingers crossed someone gets one!

How do you know that the number of total number of applicants is lower this year? I am also still on the waitlist. Good luck to you! I hope we get in.

thanks, you too! The # of reported applicants is down almost 35% on GMAT club y/y, volumes have been down across all schools based on a lot of data. So my guess is that they are worried about a higher amount of cross-admits with HBS, and probably see a higher chance of people dropping out (that's my hope). On the other hand, HBS didn't have a Round 3 this year, so maybe kind of hopeless as everyone who got into GSB R3 probably will go there without also being admitted to HBS...

It does seem like the number of applications are down, however great point about the lack of Round 3 at HBS cdtz1990 . Most schools have a "summer melt", but I'm not sure when that will start happening at GSB. Also not sure that there is anything more to say in this update letter. If you don't get in are you headed to Wharton or Booth?
