I've applied to a couple schools and each ahd a prompt to follow for their statement of purpose. The next two I'm choosing (san diego state and long beach) both ask why I'm choosing their schools.
My actual reasons are...
-unemployment rates are lower (finding a job in my current location that pays any good has been a pain)
-I run a mobile DJ business, I'd like to see what the markets in southern California have to offer
-San Diegos campus seems to be less of a commuter school, i prefer campuses that are more lively (long beach is highly commuted though, not my first choice..)
-Cost of living isn't too bad in San Diego
Now as you may notice these don't mention anything about their MBA programs. I would think some should. I can mention...
"SDSU’s Part-time MBA program is ranked among the nation’s best graduate business programs, according to U.S. News and World Report's "America's Best Graduate Schools 2013"
"SDSU's College of Business is also listed among Princeton Review's best business schools"
Do you think I should mix and match some of these reviews with my actual reasons in my letter?
