Hey OP congratulations on the double admit! I’m a current student at Booth. I’ll restrict myself to sharing info about Booth since I’m not well informed about other schools. At Booth, banking recruiting is solid and all aspirants get offers, often more than one offer, provided they don’t completely drop the ball at some point. For those with US work authorisation, IM recruiting is pretty strong as well. The IM industry overall is shrinking, but there are Boothies at most of the big IM shops and you will definitely find a great gig. Same for PE/VC and Corp Fin provided you are not an international (work authorisation sponsorship is hard to get in these industries - barring IB). So yes for finance overall Booth is a solid bet. Not just recruiting but professors, curriculum, exposure, clubs, resources to help you prepare stock pitches etc for interviews - Booth can give you a comprehensive finance experience.

Congrats on the admit to Booth and the scholarship. Given the relatively small difference in cost (~$50K over two years), unless you really need to be in NYC for personal reasons, Booth seems like the call here. Significantly stronger brand, better IB recruiting, better network in IM.

I think for finance both the schools are equally good, they both aren’t a Wharton, so you can’t go wrong with either. You’ll get the same opportunities from both but you’ll be able to independently find your own opportunities being in New York City
