aj2112, I applied a few years ago and was denied early on, so if they are waiting until the end to send rejections that would be a new practice. Also waiting anxiously for this year's decision. Good luck to you and everyone else still waiting.

First, congrats to those who got in!!

This is my first time posting on this thing, but have been following the responses of those who applied and have shared their experience. I submitted my application on 5/10 and am still anxiously waiting on a decision from the ad com. I have 3 yrs work experience in finance, solid gpa (> 3.6), however a less than stellar GMAT score of 530.

I have two questions:
(1) Can anyone provide the current number in the accepted students database?
(2) Has anyone been denied this time around? I'm beginning to lose hope as the August 1 date approaches. I'm starting to think that they're saving the rejection notifications to the very end??

Hang in there, for those who are in the same boat as me.

I just got into the Manhattan Weeknight program!!! I'm so excited! Congrats to everyone else who has received the wonderful news and for those of you who haven't, don't loose hope! I would consider myself well rounded with great WE, but my GMAT score sucks. I got a 590 the first time and a 620 the second time. But I guess the adcom did weigh all parts of the application and I guess my other factors counted.

Totally agree that numbers do not tell the complete story and the adcoms do look at the complete picture. Wishing good luck to everyone who is still waiting...its extremely difficult to wait but don't loose hope...

Good luck to you, asaf! Yes, I totally agree- numbers DO matter, but sometimes they don't tell the whole story. Let us know when you've heard from adcom.

I'm a first time poster and am waiting to hear back from ad-com. Cantwaitlangone, thanks for posting about your background behind the numbers. It's encouraging considering I too don't seem like a strong candidate based on the numbers alone. However, I feel like my pre- and post-college experience (entrepreneurial and unique blend of corp exp), essays (I spent a lot of time on these, especially the personal expression), and extracurricular activities (quality volunteer work) speak closer to my abilities and explain why I would be a perfect match more than a GPA and a GMAT score. Anyways, we'll just have to wait and see if ad-com feels the same.

It's surprising. May be people who got in to Westchester campus are not accessing this forum. If someone knows anybody who got admitted to Westchester, please share with us.
