loser,
i read in the threads for previous years that people on the waitlist wrote emails supporting their case - like a better GMAT score, or a promotion or some achievement. It seems to have helped to get finally accepted. Check out the 2008, 2010 and 2011 threads for Langone.

Very interesting observations !

About the GPA being irrelevant, all the ones applied have >3.19, so not sure about that.
Also, no acceptances so far for Westchester, and only 2 applicants have chosen that schedule.
brainchild and mv, is Westchester your first choice or second ?

Westchester is my second choice and Manhatten weekend is first. Yeah, i haven't seen any acceptance for Westchester so far. Let's see whether Wed 06/20 has something for us :-)

Admission decisions aside, I know that NYU owns a ton of real estate around campus to house undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate students. Has anybody had any experience with the NYU Real Estate and availability of on- and off-campus housing?

My girlfriend goes to Columbia and she got a bedroom in a 2bd apartment thats probably $400/m below market.

Based on the excel sheet I would say it is probably safe to say:

1. decisions are announced every Wednesday
2. Does not matter when you applied
3. They are only accepting people with GMAT scores that are in the high 600's
4. GPA doesn't matter
5. Acceptances are going out for both weekend and weeknight


Anyone else have anything to add to that? Is anyone not from the NY area that is still waiting to hear back?

I say irrelevant GPA only because Stern's range is 2.9-3.8, so the people who have 3.2 do fall into the lower range vs if you look at GMAT scores, everyone who has been accepted have pretty high scores given Stern's range.

I've got a 700, 3.3 gpa from a city school, and close to 3 years of WE. Weakest area being WE for sure. I'm a little surprised i was wait-listed so early but we'll see.

Hi All -

Hoping someone can provide me some advice-I'm still in the pool of applicants waiting to hear from Stern.

I'm currently located in SF, but last week received an offer to work for an organization in NYC. This job is a huge promotion for me and a step in the right direction for what I want to do long term. I wrote about this job in the option essay- that I was interviewing and planning on moving to NYC this summer and will be able to work for about 2 months before starting in the Langone program.

My question is, now that I've actually gotten the job, should I email the adcom and let them know? Or do we think that this is pestering them, especially since I already wrote that I was in the final interview stages with the organization.

Any thoughts would be helpful,
