GMAT Club Verbal Experts,
I'm reaching out today with a plea for help, hoping your collective wisdom can guide me toward success in the upcoming GMAT Focused Edition scheduled for May 10th, 2024. My situation requires a bold leap in the Verbal section, and I'm desperately seeking a solid strategy to achieve it.
My Background:- Previous GMAT classic score: 420 (Verbal 19, QA 37) Oct' 23
- Latest Official Mock Score: 545 (QA 81, Verbal 76, DI 74)
- Goal: 695 with 90th percentile in Verbal by May 10th
The Challenge:As you can see, while I'm confident in boosting my QA and DI scores to the 90th percentile(87 and 81 respectively), the Verbal section terrifies me. My recent mock score, 545 with verbal 76(25th percentile), reveals a significant hurdle. I need to overcome this in just ten weeks.
My Efforts So Far:- Since October, I've diligently practiced CR and RC questions on GMAT Club, categorized by question type and difficulty, but no results.
- Tried the Egmat course. It was good to set fundamentals, but didn't see improvements. Solved Manhattan CR and RC guide.
- Unfortunately, a personal financial situation renders a GMAT tutor unaffordable.
-
My Request:Given my limited resources and time frame, I humbly request your guidance on utilizing GMAT Club effectively to:
- Identify my core weaknesses in Verbal (CR & RC specifically).
- Crafting a focused, time-bound study plan leveraging GMAT Club resources with a structural approach.
- Develop effective strategies for tackling different question types and improving CR and RC.
- Utilize GMAT Club's questions to improve.
Any specific recommendations, success stories, or personalized advice would be valuable.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
