­I (A performance that can be scheduled on either day): Arpita (11th Grade, Violin Solo)
II (A performance that cannot be scheduled on either day): Jack (8th Grade, Mandolin Solo)


For Day 1: 

1.1.  Majority (at least 3/5) must be string (Guitar, Banjo, Sitar, and Mandolin)

There are already 3 string performances
=> This requirement is already satisfied
1.2.  Except Grade 11, other Grade only has at most 1 performance each

There are already performances from Grade 8 and 10
=> No more 8 and 10
=> The remaining must be 9 or 11

For Day 2

2.1.  The second day will mainly feature solo performance => At least 3/5 must be solo

Currently, there are only 2 solos 
=> The remaining must be solo
2.2.  Except Grade 11, other Grade only has at most 1 performance each

There are already performances from Grade 8, 9 and 10
=> No more 8, 9 and 10
=> The remaining must be 11

From the above analysis,
  • I must be solo and grade 11 => Arpita 
  • II must be grade 8 or 10 (grade 9 may still fit in Day 1) => Jack
