Dear Experts,
Firstly, the members and the club has been really helpful and has contributed immensely. After preparing on and off for about 4 months I managed to appear for the exam yesterday.
I scored a 680 (V35 Q47).
I gave a few mocks during my prep and the results are as follows -
Gmatprep Mock 1 (4 months back) - 590 (V28 Q44)
Gmatprep Mock 2 (2 weeks back) - 700 (V35 Q49)
Gmatprep Mock 3 (1 week back) - 690 (V34 Q49)
Gmatprep Mock 4 (1 week back) - 660 (V33 Q49)
The resources I used for the prep were OG 18, OG Quant review, Manhattan guides for Quant and Egmat Verbal online course for Verbal.
I plan to apply within the second round of applications to a few colleges with deadlines in the first week of January. The universities I currently aim for have Gmat averages of about 670. However, being an Indian male my score may fall short of whats expected.
While working on other parts of my application i was considering to have another go at the exam in the next 30 days.
1. Can you please advice if i should concentrate on building my profile / application or should I try also continue my preparation simultaneously and aim for a better score. Essentially, is a score improvement of 20-30 points worth it to reappear vs. investing time on other parts of the application.
2. Secondly, What would you advice me on doing in the next 30 days to improve my score by 30 points? I managed a Q49 in all 3 mocks but ended up with Q47 on the actual exam. So that is something i need to make sure doesn't happen.
Looking forward to your inputs.
Many Thanks
Arun
