Target Scores for IIM-A,B,C and ISB

I am having 6 years of work ex as a software engineer in India, worked with MNCs. 
undergrad : 7.97 cgpa

What should be the target GMAT FE score for R1 intake ?

Hi 7sharad7 If you are seriously considering ISB, I would suggest pulling up your score as much as you can because of the sheer competition and the overrepresentation of your pool. For ISB, the average score was between 655-665 so you should be well above that. For the IIMs, the quality of professional experience matters much more than the GMAT score provided you have attained a balanced and presentable score.

7sharad7  - some more datapoints can help evaluate your overall profile better e.g. which was your undergrad university, which company/ companies you worked in, have there been any promotions, what are your career goals, etc.

Broadly though, aiming for a 675+ would be ideal, considering the competitive pool at ISB.

While no score guarantees an admit, 665 is what you should aim for at the least. Needless to say, the higher, the better.

One important factor to keep in mind is that this year’s admissions are expected to be highly competitive, as the uncertain conditions in the US are prompting many Indian applicants to consider ISB as an alternative.
