If all games ended in either win or loss for team A, did team A win at least 80% of all its games played in 2017?

(1) Ratio of N1 : N2 = 10 : 9

(2) Ratio of X : Y = 9 : 10

Won in 1st term = N1*x%/100%
Won in 2nd term = N2*y%/100%

Total won N1*x%/100% + N2*y%/100%
Total games N1+N2

We are asked (N1*x%/100% + N2*y%/100%)/(N1+N2) > 0.8 (80%)

Clearly we have equation with 4 variables. Statements 1 and 2 give us proportions, but not terms (and we have no proportion x/y to N1/N2 to reduce fraction to numbers). Answer (E).

Neither of statement alone is sufficient

Let N1=10z N2=9z
X=9w Y=10w

Total wine out of N1= 9w*10z/100=0.9wz
Total wine out of N2= 10w*9z/100=0.9wz

Total wine=1.8wz

Total matches=19z
Win %= 1.8wz*100/19z
Z get cancelled but we are still left with w

We don't know value of w

So not sufficient

So E is answer

Both Insufficient, as No absolute values are given neither anything on the loss is mentioned, no win:loss ratio.
