Thank you so much for the explanation. Now, it makes more sense to me.

For number 1, nonstore retailers (10.4%) are also higher than the retail and food services industry (7.2%), so it is false.

For number 3, June 2017 to Jul 2017 is given as 2.4% and then July 2017 to Aug 2017 is given as -2.2%. So, in totality over June 2017 to Aug 2017 it is a net increase and not a decrease (1.024 * 0.978). So false would be the answer but the information is given in the prompt.

The table indicates the percent change in retail sales revenue for 13 retail categories, as well as for the total retail and food services industry. The sales in August 2017 and July 2017 are compared to sales both in the preceding months and in the corresponding months of the previous year. In addition, the quarterly sales from the period of June–August 2017 are compared to sales both in the preceding quarter and in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The percent change represents the change in the dollar value of sales.

For each of the following statements, select Yes if the statement is true according to the information presented in the table; otherwise, select No.
Solution :

1. From August 2016 to August 2017, the only category whose sales increased faster than those for the retail and food services industry as a whole was gasoline stations. I didn't understand why it's not true. Need an explanation for the same.

2. From the June–August quarter of 2016 to the June–August quarter of 2017, the median percent increase in sales among the categories in the table was less than the total percent increase among all retail and food services. Yes
As mentioned Median = 6.8 and the total percent increase in retail and food services = 7.9

3. Sales at miscellaneous store retailers decreased from June 2017 to August 2017. No information is given for this particular quarter.
