the agricultural industry of country X is dependent on paddy fields primarily fertilized by droppings of the Tall-Legged Crane indigenous to the country. Cranes primarily survive on fish. The Long-finned fish, however, are poisonous to the indigenous cranes. As the population of this fish has increased lately, there has been a proposal to import Short-Legged Cranes from the neighbouring countries that primarily survive on the Long-Finned Fish. This proposal is expected not only to save the animals that could die by eating the poisonous fish, but also to prevent any decrease in export revenue by saving the agricultural industry of country X.

Analysis: Weakener scenario for the plan
- How can this new plan to bring in SLC not have the desired effect of saving the agricultural industry ?
Maybe bringing them in will bring more harm than good

Which of the following if true will diminish belief in the notion that importing Short-Legged Cranes is likely to achieve its goal?

A. The climatic conditions of country X is not as conducive for the Short-legged cranes as it is for the native Tall-legged ones.
B. Ironically, one of the sources of sustenance for the Long-finned fish is the droppings of tall-legged cranes.
C. Research at the R & D departments of the agricultural industry has come up with ways of increasing the agricultural production of the country in ways that are more cost effective than importing Short-Legged Cranes.
D. Droppings of the Short-Legged Cranes are extremely poisonous to crops and animals that eat them alike. - In line with our weakener framework- Hence, Correct.
E. Environmentalists do not support the proposal as they believe it may not be sufficient to ensure that the balance of the ecosystem of the country remains undisturbed.

My Analysis, Please feel free to point out flaws if Any

Conclusion.
Short Legged Cranes Will eat the poisonous fishes....and this will lead to reduction in deaths of animals and moreover prevent any decrease in export....In a way sort of making better conditons for Tall legged Cranes

Weakener - Something that bringing this will not have the stated impact.....

A. The climatic conditions of country X is not as conducive for the Short-legged cranes as it is for the native Tall-legged ones.
Nope...we don't the impact on climatic conditions X will have on Short legged..Its just not as conducive as for Tall legged one's....Alternative explaination...A person living in Norway is used to Cold climatic condition....but when the person moves to India...He can still survive ..although its not as conducive as it is for Indians...

B. Ironically, one of the sources of sustenance for the Long-finned fish is the droppings of tall-legged cranes.
This infacts, strengthens.... Short legged cranes will have a blast here as they will get plenty of these poisonous fishes.... .

C. Research at the R & D departments of the agricultural industry has come up with ways of increasing the agricultural production of the country in ways that are more cost effective than importing Short-Legged Cranes.
We don't care about the cost

D. Droppings of the Short-Legged Cranes are extremely poisonous to crops and animals that eat them alike.
Yes! Replacing one poison with another...Weakens....Direct Impact on both animals and the Crops too

E. Environmentalists do not support the proposal as they believe it may not be sufficient to ensure that the balance of the ecosystem of the country remains undisturbed.
We are not concerned what environmentalists think.
