The city is awarding three types of community grants to its cultural organizations this year, based on attendance growth. The table below details each organization’s current and previous attendance, the absolute change from year to year, and the percentage growth or decline.

• A large attendance grant of $150,000 is awarded to every organization whose current-year attendance exceeds 120,000.

• A growth grant of $100,000 is awarded to the four organizations with the largest increases in attendance (current minus previous).

• An improvement grant of $75,000 is awarded to the two organizations with the largest percentage increases in attendance.

For each of the following statements, select Yes if it is accurate based on the table. Otherwise select No.
A Large Attendance Grant (LAG) of amount $150,000 is given to organisations for which the current year Attendance exceeds $120,000.

A Growth Grant (GG) of amount $100,000 is given to 4 organisations- largest increase in attendance ( current year - previous year).

A Improvement Grant (IG) of amount $75,000 is given to 2 organisations - largest % increase in attendance.

The organisations which comes under LAG are :

Org 7, Org 4, Org 16, Org 15, Org 12 and Org 1 respectively.

The organisations which come under GG are:

Org 2, Org 6, Org 13, and Org 1 respectively.

The organisations which come under IG are:

Org 2, and Org 6 respectively.

The amount collected by each organisations are given below:

Org 7 = $150,000

Org 4 = $150,000

Org 16 = $150,000

Org 15 = $150,000

Org 12 = $150,000

Org 1 = LAG + GG + IG = $150,000 + $100,000 + $75,000 = $325,000.

Org 2 = GG + IG =$100,000 + $75,000 = $175,000.

Org 6 = GG + IG =$100,000 + $75,000 = $175,000.

Org 13 = GG = $100,000.

QUESTION 1:

Exactly 5 organizations will receive grants totaling exactly $150,000.

The organizations that received a total of $150,000 are Org 4, Org 16, Org 15, Org 7, and Org 12. There are exactly 5 of them.

Hence, YES

QUESTION 2:

Exactly 1 organization will receive grants totaling exactly $100,000.

The only organization that received a total of $100,000 is Org 13.

Hence, YES.

QUESTION 3:

Exactly 2 organizations will receive grants totaling exactly $175,000.

The organizations that received a total of $175,000 are Org 2 and Org 6. There are exactly two of them.

Hence, YES.

Since one org can get multiple grants, we will need to calculate the total grant received by the orgs

For Grant 1 (150K) we have 6 orgs 12,1,15,7,4,16
For Grant 2 (100k) we have 4 orgs 2,6,13,1
For Grant 3 (75K) we have two orgs i.e 2 and 6

We can see that org 2 and 6 receives grant 2 and 3. Similarly Org 1 gets grant 1 and 2
So, we get
Org 1 = 150+100=250K
Org 2 & 6 = 100+75 = 175K
Org 12,15,7,4,16 =150K
Org 13 = 100K

Therefore 5 org get 150K, 1 org gets 100K and 2 orgs get 175K
Hence YES, YES, YES
