The company recently reported that it generated $2.2 billion in revenue from its advertising business in the second quarter, more than twice as much as in the same period a year earlier.

PLEASE explain how does this bold line work here. Is it serving as action modifier.

Please mention the Source

Much = Used for Non-Countable Nouns,

Furter, Revenue is Uncountable Noun, thus the usage in the highlighted part is correct....
