let the cost be \(c\) & weight be \(w\)
--> \(c ∝ w\)
--> \(\frac{c_1}{c_2} = \frac{w_1}{w_2}\)
--> \(\frac{3.06}{c_2} = \frac{18}{24} = \frac{3}{4}\)
--> \(c_2 = 3.06*\frac{4}{3} = 4.08\)
IMO Option A
