Total cost of parking for 9 hours = 8$ for the first 2 hours and then 1.75 for (9-2) hours = 8+7*1.75 = 20.25
Thus the AVERAGE parking price = 20.25/9 = 2.25 $
C is the correct answer.

First 2 hours ----> $8.00
For next 7 hours ------>7 * $1.75
For 9 Hours total cost is $8.00 + $12.25 =$20.25
Average cost for 9 hours is 20.25/9 => $2.25
Hence answer is (C) $2.25
