No! It is 700.

May I know why the answer is not 777 ? If you observe the graph more closely, the difference between deaths is more than 7k.

For 777, we need a total of 7770 deaths. Even if you go deeper, it maxes out at 7200, and if we have to round off 720, we will go to 700, not 777. Hence, the answer is 700.

Thank you!

Hi Sajjad1994, can you please share the explanation, I am not able to get it.
I did 25000-17500= 7500, what to do after this?

Divide it by 10 as the question ask about "per year"

Hi Sajadd! May I ask why is the answer from 1985 to 1990 instead of none since 1965's number of death per drink drive is actually below the trendline?
If the actual number of deaths per year were higher than the trend line would predict, the point for that year would fall above the trend line. There are two time periods in which the points fall above the trend line, but only one of these, 1985 to 1990, is an answer choice.

Answer: C
hi Sajjad1994 the number of deaths for the time period 1986-1990 are actually above the trend line with 1985 being below the trend line. Should the answer then not be 'None of These'?

Hi KarishmaB Bunuel

Can you please explain why the answer to part-2 is 1985-1990 and not None of these, I believe 1985 point is lower than the trend line so we can't mark this answer choice.
I don't understand what I am missing here.

In the period from 1982 to 1992, the number of deaths from drunkdriving incidents declined at a rate of approximately deaths per year.

The actual number of deaths per year was higher than the trend line would predict in the period from .
