can you please recheck the OA? the answer for 1 should be C since it is the farthest from metal supplier - more than 30miles. Sajjad1994

Official Explanation

___________ is located further away from the metal supplier than from any other supplier on the graph.

This interesting and unusual graph gives us a visual display of the distance from 5 warehouses, indicated by the different lines, to various suppliers, indicated by the labels around the edge of the graph. Each irregular polygon represents all the distances from one warehouse to the various suppliers. The accompanying text states that the units are miles. So, for example, Warehouse A (solid blue line) is 30 miles from the wood supplier. It's a little further away from the ceramic and glass suppliers and closer to the other suppliers.

Answer: D

___________ is closer, on average, to all seven suppliers than is any other warehouse.

We are being asked which of the five warehouses is farther from the metal supplier than any other supplier. A systematic way to approach this is to find Metal at the right edge of the graph and check the outermost warehouse line. That's Warehouse C, but it is even further away from the glass supplier, so this isn't correct. Next check the next line in, which is for Warehouse A; this warehouse is further from several other suppliers. Now for the dashed blue line, Warehouse D: this warehouse is close to every other supplier. Warehouse D is correct.

Answer: D

didn't get why q1 is D too. Can you please explain

This graph is a bit confusing. Any faster approaches to solve and understand such questions?

Question 1: D
It says ____ warehouse is located further away from the metal supplier than from any other supplier on the graph.
This mean that for that Warehouse the farthest away supplier must be Metal.
So, for
Warehouse C: Glass is further away as compared to Metal. [Eliminated]
Warehouse A: Glass and Ceramic are further away than Metal [Eliminated]
Warehouse D: Metal is the farthest as compared to other suppliers. [Correct]
You can check for others too.

Regarding Q1

Warehouse C is the answer to: ________ is located further away from the metal supplier than from any other Warehouse on the graph. This is not what is asked in the question though

Warehouse D is the answer to: ________ is located further away from the metal supplier than from any other supplier on the graph. Here we need to compare among all the suppliers for a warehouse, which has metal further away. We can pick the point where the supplier and metal warehouse intersect and draw a circle(imaginary if it is not on one of the circles drawn already) and see if any other supplier crosses it. if it does, then that warehouse has a supplier which is further away than metal supplier
Sajjad1994
The graph plots the distance, in miles, from five warehouses to seven suppliers.

For each statement, select the option from the drop-down menu that completes the statement as accurately as possible according to the information provided.

1. is located further away from the metal supplier than from any other supplier on the graph.

2. is closer, on average, to all seven suppliers than is any other warehouse.
