My name is Brad and LBS is my top choice, followed by two US schools. I hope all my fellow 2011 LBS applicants can share their application progress on this thread much like the 2010 LBS thread. I actually attended an MBA fair last fall and spoke with the LBS staff and got the ball rolling then. Over the past 6 months or so it has become apparent that LBS fits what I am hoping to get from an MBA and I'm focusing my efforts accordingly. I checked today and it looks like they've put up the essay questions. I'm on vacation for the next month, so it will give me time to draft a couple first drafts. I've already read a couple MBA Admissions books and have a spreadsheet filled with my brainstorming for the general topics that appear on the essays. I'm still not sure whether I will use a consultant to review my essays or whether I will go the friends, family and colleagues route. Beside the obvious cost of a consultant I feel that drafting and editing myself is almost a matter of pride, ...or maybe hubris. Anyone have any thoughts on this? Question for the stats studs/studettes,

What % of total applicants get interview invites, % of admits among interviewed applicants, % of waitlisted applicants who get admitted. I have the feeling that LBS does not operate a massive WL compared to some other BSchools.

As a previous applicant who got interviewed.. I would say around 45-50% of those interviewed get accepted. LBS's waitlist seems very small. R1 has only 2-3 people reported in GC to be on waitlist.

Food for thought: I read somewhere that as a rough benchmark, LBS calls about 30% of all applicants for interviews and then accepts about 70% afterwards for final offers... About 85% will accept the offer or defer!

Can any body please share information on how LBS looks at candidates applying to R3 (march). I know that US prefer candidates applying to early rounds and pretty much doesn't consider international candidates applying for march rounds due to the visa issues, but how about LBS? Many thanks

I bought the Clear Admit interview guide for LBS and went over it. I guess the prep is going to be mostly practising out loud on the questions in there and from the forums... I don't know what else to do really.

My interview (in R1) went very well... questions asked are typical MBA interview questions which u can check over here:

You will have an impromptu presentation where the interviewer will provide u with a subject, u have 5 minutes to prepare, and 5 minutes to present it! ... don't worry from this part, it's easier than u think... even easier then the interview questions!

is it some insider info? cause people reporting their results here is not a representative sample..
