Should not it use plural form of candy. Children can't share one candy.

Hello thakurarun85,

We hope this finds you well.

To answer your query, here "candy" is a material noun, so it is singular.

Consider this example, "The baker charges too much for white bread."

Here, "white bread" does not refer to an individual loaf of bread, or a measure of bread, but to the material "white bread".
