Choose A because of parallel, a critique ... a vision

although this question is full of errors, it should be since/following Robert Boyle's "work", not Robert Boyle

Agree...A has a better parallel structure.

I also agree that A is the best choice but OA is B. I didn't understand why B is right because the phrase "also his envisioning" sounds weird. Maybe the OA is wrong? Can someone help to explain it?

1. a critique of all chemistry since Robert Boyle as well as a vision modifies the book and not humphrey davy...so critiquing all chemistry is wrong.
2.B,C,D,E are unidiomatic using following,after,from,done
3.a critique is parallel to a vision
