It is 3C2 x 3/10 x 3/10 x 7/10. 3C2 = the number of ways of choosing 2 of three visitors who will buy. their prob being 3/10 and one person who does not buy = 7/10.

Re: The probability that a visitor at the mall buys a pack of candy is 30% [#permalink]
P(buys) = 0.3, P(~buy) = 0.7

P(3 visitors buy) = 0.3 x 0.3 x 0.7 x 3! /2! = 189/1000 = 0.189

We multiply by 3! /2! because there are 3 people that need to be arranged and 2 of them buy.

Answer is C.
