For greater than 5 hours the number should be 15 right, cause for less than 4 hours we are taking 5 hours only then why not the same in case of less than 5 hours?

For greater than 5 hours we are adding 15+6+3+1 = 25 people. For less than 4 hours we are adding 2+3 = 5 people. Therefore, the ratio becomes 25/5 = 5:1.

You add up all the y values past 5 on the x axis and compare it to all the y values added up below 4 on the x axis. That gives you a ratio of 25:5 or 5:1

Question 2:

Total for greater than 5 hours means- either 6,7 ,8 & 9 hours, sum of which is 15+6+3+1 = 25;

Total for less than 4 hours means - either 2 or 3 hours sum of which is 2+3= 5

ratio is therefore 5:1
