The tiny country of Minlandia does not produce its own television programming. Instead, the citizens of Minlandia, who generally are fluent not only in their native Minlandian, but also in Boltese, watch Boltese-language television programs from neighboring Bolta. Conclusion: Minlandians generally prefer to be entertained in their native language even if they are perfectly fluent in other languages.
Why?
Because although they watch Boltese-language television programs from neighboring Bolta, they spend more time READING than WATCHING television program.

(D) At least some of what the Minlandians read for pleasure is in the Minlandian language.
If we negate (D), it becomes: NONE of what the Minlandians read for pleasure is in the Minlandian language. If so, the Conclusion is broken because Minlandians do not prefer to be entertained in their native language: they both read and watch in Boltese-language.
(D) is the required assumption and is therefore correct.

I am not able to understand because the language for both A and D says pleasure, how can one account but other doesn't account?

We need a must be true condition for conclusion to be true. Lets just find out the falsification scenario

In what condition the conclusion will not hold true. Author based the conclusion just on the basis of survey results but didn't specify the language of reading so if the reading materials are in other language then the conclusion will break right

(A) Some Minlandians derive no pleasure from watching television in a language other than their native Minlandian.-Negation says Minlandians derive pleasure from watching television in other language than native, it didn't affect our conclusion. The conclusion is still intact

(D) At least some of what the Minlandians read for pleasure is in the Minlandian language.whereas negating D says none of what the Minlandians read for pleasure is in the Minlandians language then the conclusion breaks we cannot say people generally prefer to be entertained in their native language.
