The value of -3-(-10) is how much greater than the value of -10-(-3) ?

(A) 0
(B) 6
(C) 7
(D) 14
(E) 26

Sol:

-3-(-10) ------> -3+10= +7
-10-(-3)--------> -10+3= -7

The first is greater then 2nd term by 7-(-7)= 14. Ans D

-3 - (-10) = -3+10 = 7
And,
-10-(-3) = -10+3 = -7.

Range = 7-(-7) = 14

D is the answer.

This can be solved using a number line

-7 0 +7
so the distance is 14.
