L = x
B = x-20

Perimeter = 2*(L+B) = 120

2*(x+x-20) = 120

2x - 20 = 60
i.e. x = 40

i.e .Area = L*B = 40*20 = 800

Answer: Option A

Breadth is 20 feet less than length. L= B+20
Perimeter= 2(Length+Breadth)
=> 2(B+20+B) = 120
=> 2B+20 = 60
=> 2B = 40 => B = 20 & L=20+B
=> L=40
=> AREA = L*B => 40*20
=> Area = 800

Answer is A

Lets length be l, width be b

Given: b=l-20
& Perimeter =120
2(l+b) = 120
or (l+b) = 60
or l + l -20 = 60
=> l =40; b =20
Area = l*b = 40*20 = 800

Think a bit , let L = 40 and B = 20

So, P = 2 ( 40 + 20 ) => 120

Thus, Area will be 40*20 = 800 , Answer must be (A)
