I think A is correct because, scientific bend can't be troubled. So logically, "which" refers to the human minds.
B is wrong because of the wrong placement "with scientific bend".

I wouldn't try to study from this highly unofficial question. First, the GMAT isn't going to give us questions that refer to some unspecified idea from another sentence ("this distinction"). Second, the idiom here is incorrect. It should be "with a scientific bent."
