2 stm: we can formulate the definition of a prime number: An integer with 2 positive factors 1 and itself. sufficient

Given p>1 and p is an integer.

Question stem:- Is p a prime number

Statement-1:- p is odd
So, P=3,5,7,9,11,13,15..etc.
P is prime when p=3,5,7,11 etc and p is not prime when p=9,15 etc.
hence insufficient.
Statement-2:- The only positive factors of p are 1 and p.
It implies that p is a prime number.
Hence, sufficient.

P =15

Insufficient

(2) The only positive factors of p are 1 and p.

This is the definition of prime number.

2,3,5,7...etc all have 2 factors 1 & itself

Sufficent

if this question is listed in the Error Log as Sub-600 difficulty, does it mean it might be below 500?

Statement 1 - Insufficient
P could be 5 or 15.

Statement 2 - An integer with 2 positive factors 1 and itself is a prime number
