Hi there,

Apologies in advance if this isn't the right place to post.

I was just wondering if anyone could speak to the difficult/accuracy of the GMAT Club Verbal CAT tests. I just got a V45, but I don't want to get excited/ahead of myself if the tests are a bit on the easier side...

Thanks in advance! :)

Best,
Justine

And I am struggling in 20s. The best score I have got after 5 tests is 27, and the worst is 19. Give me some tips. And yeah, I think you are good at verbal. 45 can't be a fluke, at least you deserve 40+ in worst case scenerio.

I hope so! But yes, I definitely am strong at Verbal. This is just a handful of points higher than I've scored before and it took me a bit by surprise. I also wasn't fully sure of the validity of the GMAT Club Verbal score because, when I look at the difficulty levels of the questions, it's not like I finished the test with all 700-level questions, which you'd assume would be the case? The test kept giving more 500 and 600-level questions - like a large amount of them, considering I think I got like 5 Qs wrong or so total. When I did a Kaplan CAT, the last 10-15 or so of my Verbal questions were almost all 700-level, which makes sense if the test truly does adjust according to performance... So, just a bit confused!

As for you - do you know which Verbal question type you struggle with the most?

An Official Mock is probably the best gauge.

Okay, thanks! In your opinion, which mock is the most accurate?

GMATCLUB quant tests are much more useful than the verbal ones. The quant questions may not exactly be the same as official questions but you will learn many of the concepts that will be tested.

For verbal, I would advise you to rely on official test materials for the most part. These materials are exactly the same kind that you will see on the actual exam. You may practice with some other non-official questions occasionally.

Kaplan tests are also helpful as they try to replicate the actual algorithm to some extent.
