A person applying for a job in company X has to undergo three cycles of interviews. First by Mr Xavier, then by Ms Yana and finally by Mr Zen.

A person is selected the moment that person is recommended by two of the interviewers. That is, a person recommended by both the first and the second person is not interviewed by the third person. Also, the third person does not interview a person rejected by both the first and second person.

How many people were not recommended by Xavier? 
Xavier interviewed 87 and recommended 45, so he did not recommend 87-45 or 42.....Therefore, can be answered

How many people not recommended by at least one of the first two interviewers, Mr Xavier and Ms Yana, were finally selected for the job?
If someone is not recommended by both the first two interviewers, the person is straightway rejected.
If exactly one of them recommends, the person is interviewed by Zen. Thus, all 43 interviewed by Zen fall in this category and 28 recommended by Zen are selected......Therefore, can be answered

Which interviewer had the maximum of his interviewed candidates selected for the job?
Now, Zen has 28 out of 43 or around 65% of his interviewed candidates selected.
Both, Xavier and Yana interviewed 87 candidates, and if we take that all 51 recommended by Yana were selected, the % is 100* 51/87 or 59% approx.
Thus Zen is the answer always....Again, can be answered

For the third question it says that the number of people who got *accepted* for the job. The percentage we find is the number of people who got recommended for the job. For example, for the Ms yana, 51 are recommendation, we do not know out of 51 how many got actually selected. right?

the statement basically asks if we can find--> No. of people recommended by either (any 1) or neither(none) of X and Y BUT selected for job
now its not mentioned but understood that if atleast one of X or Y recommend a person they can interview with Zen

so, No. of people recommended by either (any 1) or neither(none) of X and Y but selected for job =  no. of people rejected by both and selected  which is 0 (because of constraint in the question blurb) +  no of people recommended by either of X and Y and selected for job  (which is 28 selected by Z)
for st2 answer can be determined and it is 0+28= 28

this question is fundamentally wrong, to a interviewee to go to mr. Zen, he has to be selected by X or Y. and there are people who are selected by both who is directly selected not going to zen.
interviewee gone to zen= (rec by X) +(rec by Y)-(rec by X&Y)
43=45+51-(rec by x&Y),
So, Rec by both X and Y= 53*(Which is not possible maximum possible is 45).
So, either this problem is wrong or 87 people came to interview can be different. So , 3rd question is NO.
