I am waitlisted too. I applied for the Master in Management, but I am guessing that you guys applied for the MBA?

My application will be reviewed again on the 14th of March. Another month (and probably more) of stressful and nerve-racking waiting... :(

Yep just found out I'm on the waitlist as well.

The e-mail wording seems pretty open to communicating with the admissions committee:

"Our Waitlist is not ranked and unfortunately there is no extra information we can give you about your chances of admission. We do not require you to send any extra information unless we specifically contact you ourselves.

As the waitlist manager, I would be happy to help if you should have any further questions.

From what I understand, if you're on the waitlist it means your qualifications are good enough to go to LBS, so it's not like your GMAT is what is holding you back and a better GMAT will automatically get you in.

That said, they always say working to improve the weaknesses in your application shows the admissions folks that you serious about the school. That is a very important message to be sending when you're trying to stand out from everyone else on the WL. So if you can automatically improve your profile by sending in a higher GMAT score, then yeah I'd say that definitely helps. Even if only for the fact that you are taking initiative to become an even more competitive candidate.

Hi guys,

I was just going through last year's thread. Sorry to be a wet blanket at this stage, but it seems like nobody got off the waitlist until after class started and those who stayed on the wl got deferred admits. I am also thinking of retaking the GMAT. The pain of studying again.....scary.

Both are really great schools..... Wharton has great prestige due to it's history.... But I reckon London has a great location... It's up and coming.... And what's more a truly international experience.... For me, LBS has the edge
