Essay 1: What matters most to you, and why? The best examples of Essay 1 reflect the process of self-examination that you have undertaken to write them. Instead, they share with us the values, experiences, and lessons that have shaped your perspectives. They are written from the heart and address not only a person, situation, or event, but also how that person, situation, or event has influenced your life. Essay 2: What do you want to do—REALLY—and why Stanford? Use this essay to explain your view of your future, not to repeat accomplishments from your past. As someone who has been watching the BTG forum daily, I can tell you that four or five people posted within an hour or so of each other indicating that they had just received their invites on Monday. Incidentally, BTG's invite percentage seems to be significantly higher than GMATClub's, though still below Stanford's averages.

just had my interview. very informal and conversational. she seemed really nice and the whole experience was very positive. she ended it with "i think you'll be a great fit", so i'm taking that as a positive sign very standard questions: - why mba - what do i like/dislike about my job - a time when i built something - a time when i found it challenging to manage a team - what i do outside of work - what book am i reading fingers crossed now!

Congrats fedesaiz Had my interview yesterday. It was a friendly interaction. The alum introduced himself and briefed about the interview process for the initial 10 minutes. Then the interview happened for about 40 minutes, then I asked him some questions for another 10 minutes. The interview questions were all behavioral in nature. (No Why MBA? why Stanford? etc.). The only problem was that he asked a situation, then asked 4-5 sub-questions on that situation. so I had to remember all the questions while answering. In all he asked me around 5-6 questions. Some that I remember are: 1. Tell me about a situation when you went outside your defined role and achieved something, 2. Tell me about a time when you successfully led a group. 3. Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult person/group. 4. Tell me about a time when you saw an opportunity earlier than others, and further acted on it. 5. Tell me about a team project in which you emerged as a leader, though you weren't appointed one. 6. How would your team-members and your managers describe you as a person? Hope this helps.
