Wow, also lucked out and got a Tuck interview. Sent back the best possible time, but haven't had my date confirmed though. Has anyone received confirmation?

With a 770 GMAT i wouldn't say you "lucked out" on an interview invite. :-D

I know right.. 770 is no luck, and definitely Tuck material :)

Great to see we have some Tuck Invites rolling in! Congrats to everyone!

As you all are updating your profiles, make sure the information is accurate. In the past few days I've noticed several moves from CGSM2 to CGSM1... If you applied in Consortium Round Two or One, MAKE SURE to DOUBLE CHECK the accuracy of your profile for application cycle (2011-2012), round you applied in, application status and that ALL SCHOOLS you applied to are listed under the program (Consortium, the).

Thank you all! And keep the invites coming in.

Hi everyone. I just had my first interview (!) with Johnson. It was a Skype interview with an adcom member. I was a bit nervous but the interview was very conversational. Went overtime (interview lasted almost an hour) but she said it was okay since we had a good conversation (Hope that's a good sign!)

So questions I was asked:

Tell me about yourself.
Why MBA, why now?
Why Cornell?
Tell me about leadership (example)
Greatest failure.
Weaknesses.
Strengths.
What is your greatest fear?
What other schools did you apply to?
How would you prepare for the quantitative portion of MBA? (Notes about my lack of quant classes and Verbal stronger than Quant GMAT from those who reviewed my application) I mentioned about possibly taking courses at the local university but not wanting my core courses to become redundant since a current student mentioned it happening to him. She mentioned the option of enrolling in MBAMath. com to prepare.
How would you contribute to the school?
Is there something I didn’t ask about but you would like me to know? Any concerns you have about your application that you would like to address?
Any questions?

So I'm planning to email my interviewer thanking her - any tips about what the contents should involve? And when? Current day? Next day?

Also, she told me that Consortium applicants should receive a decision by Feb. 21

Decided to come out from the shadows! I got invited to interview at Yale even though I ranked them last (5th). I'm actually really bummed because I like the program so much more than I did when I submitted the app. Does anyone know WHY the Consortium would provide the rankings to schools prior to admissions decisions? Ugggh, probably going to get dinged, but really hope not.

Hello Everyone,

I am curious to know how you can screw up an interview that will then lead to you being dinged.

Any ideas of what one can do or say that would make the adcom think you no longer are a fit for the program?

Just curious, since not everyone who is interviewed is admitted.

Thanks

Wear jeans, a hoodie, and timbs. Show up hungover. Throwing up on the adcoms/alum's shoes is an added plus. Provide long winded responses that don't actually answer the question asked. And go on and on about how much you love Yale even though it's a Tuck interview. That's a good start. Try it and let us know how it turns out.

That's hilarious...but who in their right senses would actually do that? Yale as an example send out interview invites to 60% of applicants, and end up offering admission to about 70%...I find it hard to believe that 18% of invitees would do stuff like that...People who do that would not even make it to the interview right??

Another funny thing is that my interviewer actually was in timbs, jeans but not a hoodie...go figure

Per, businessweek, Yale invites only 28% of their applicants to interviews, and then offer around 60% of them admission.
