McCombs decisions are out.... waitlisted ....... oh well, I'll just have to use my Emory (or maybe ucla) fellowship papers to dry my tears... I really liked McCombs, but waitlist sound like no $$$, and I can't wait for that.
Has anybody here been referred to the CGSM? I got admits last week and today, one of my schools is asking me to apply to the Consortium. I even got an email from a CGSM manager with instructions to apply, but I've been given ONLY 5 business days to submit the mission essay and get a recommendation. I'm assuming they want me to submit quickly because it looks like they are making final decisions next week. Is it even worth it? I don't even think I'll be considered for fellowship with it being so late in the process.

OP is worth the trouble alone. Definitely get it done if you can!
Has anyone who applied through the Consortium heard back from Stern yet? I interviewed during Stern's diversity weekend 10 days ago and have been sweating bullets since then waiting to hear back.
I only applied to 1 school (I really want to be in NYC), so there's a certain finality to the decision that is wrecking me right now. (I am still thinking about R3 Columbia, but don't tell Stern adcom that!)

Please apply to the Consoritum even if it is this late in the process. If UW asked you to, it means they want to pull some money aside for you at the draft.
Don't be discouraged by any ding or waitlist, this is exactly why we applied to a lot of schools, so we can have a shot at a great MBA. This image by woggy987 is what is coming next week!!!

Good luck to everyone as decisions roll out.

I also interviewed at diversity weekend and I haven't heard anything yet either......this waiting is not fun. I was hoping to get news from Stern before the other Consortium school notification deadlines next week, but who knows if thats gonna happen

Not sure if the school you're referring to is Madison but if it is, i definitely think it would be worth it and you will be seriously considered for fellowship. Being a Wisconsin resident, i know how seriously they take minority recruitment... even at the undergraduate level they are very aggressive about it, and do put thier money where thier mouth is. My guess is that they are considering you for fellowship and would like it to go through the consortium rather than other funds because then it is partially subsidized by the corporate sponsors. I would take it as a good sign and do everything in my power to get it in....
I liked the school and their commitment to diversity. But they didn't appear to be very strong in placing people in i-banking. So that's why I decided not to apply.
