When does everybody plan to quit work??

Right now I'm thinking 6/29/12 will be my last day.....but i could use a couple of extra paychecks.

does anyone know if Tuck let's you know about the Consortium fellowship upon admission, or does the Consortium inform you?

Tuck informed me about the fellowship upon admission. Haven't heard a peep from the Consortium.

Does anyone have a gauge on how many fellowships were given out by Ross or UNC last year? I got into Ross (yay!), still waiting to hear about UNC. Still fingers crossed for a fellowship but wondering if they gave them all out already.

I know of a person who received the UNC fellowship on Friday. Not sure if they are done giving them out yet.

Looking at last year's OP photos, there were 36 incoming Ross Consortium students. I read somewhere that Ross has about 45 full scholarships available between the general pool and the Consortium pool. My complete and total guess is that 15-20 of those full scholarships are dedicated to Consortium.

I don't have any Consortium materials, just some binders from schools that admitted me prior to the membership decision. I think the response dates vary by school. Tepper, I think, wanted me to decide by April 15th, but I believe the Ross date is May 1st.

But, yeah, I'm anxious to see the official stuff arrive at home!

Quick question (my apologies if this has already been answered elsewhere) -

If you are a Consortium applicant and are admitted / matriculate at a Member school - are you guaranteed Consortium Membership (nevermind the Fellowships)? If I understand everything correctly, this is the information we are all waiting on to arrive in the mail - right? The information that i believe was sent out today. Are any admitted applicants worried at all that they might not gain Membership or is it really just a formality at this point?

Thanks and congrats to everyone that has reported good news over the past couple of weeks!!

Crazy to think that this is all shortly coming to an end.

My mail hasn't come yet for today, but I didn't have anything over the weekend from the Consortium. I will be checking daily, though, especially since I figure mail should move pretty fast with St. Louis only being a couple of hours away from here.

I believe the Consortium deadline to accept/decline the fellowship and/or membership is April 15. (At least that's what I've been told in all the info sessions.) Additionally, each school has their own individual date. For Kelley, admissions acceptance is May 1, but I have to accept the fellowship by April 15, if I want that funding. Also, your schools might have something planned for the Consortium students at their admitted students weekend. I know Kelley does, so I believe pre-work will begin then (mid-April) for the Kelley Consortium students even though the final deadline is for admissions acceptance is May 1. Also, I was told that there would be instructions and requirements in the packet we'll receive from the Consortium, so I'll especially want to see that information as soon as possible.

@gorges for me it's more of a formality, but it I also want it to fully understand the details. The consortium website leaves a lot to be desired IMO. I have a full tuition offer from a non-consortium school so i really need to weigh the benefits of the consortium heavily.
@method- i'll be keeping my fingers crossed that my date is may 1. i haven't even visited the school awarding me the consortium fellowship!

@kheti, Here's a link to the application instructions: https://cgsm.org/students/Application%20Instructions_9-1-11.pdf

In the Fellowship and Rankings section it reads:

Fellowships are determined through a holistic review of the overall merit of the applicant. Fellowship decisions are made solely by the admissions and scholarship committees at each of the member schools. Fellowship decisions are communicated by The Consortium in mid-March; and additional details regarding your fellowship will follow from the school. All fellowship decisions are final. You will be required to accept or decline your fellowship offer by April 15.

We'll get confirmation or correction in the offer letter, but I thought you should have a heads up.

I think 90-95% of admitted applicants are extended membership, so it's largely a formality. :)

Forgive my ignorance on this, but will the fellowship cover my mandatory technology fee (computer & software) at Tuck? Or is it purely tuition?
