Yea I got that as well. Really poor timing especially because in part of the subject line it reads "you're confirmed".

Still waiting for my invite but becoming less optimistic, especially with scares like that.

Did anyone just get that email from Booth about interview tips? I damn near had a heart attack (still waiting on an invite)! I sweat the ad com is trying to kill me!

Posted from my mobile device
Same here!! I just saw mail from Booth and interview word in the subject. It was enough to increase my heart beat. Surely it is not a good time for such mailers.

Oh man, I was like "Finally!!....Umm, oh wait". Its not a good time for sure. Sigh.

Since the email about joining a discussion with the diversity groups email from Booth I unsubscribed from the email listing. When you're constantly checking your inbox for the interview invite, getting those kind of emails are just cruel.

Can someone copy and paste the contents of that interview tips email though? I'm planning to interview on campus in the following weeks so I'm interested in seeing what the admissions team has provided.

Tips for a Successful Admissions Interview
With Round Two interviews now underway, the Admissions team wanted to provide you with some helpful tips for a successful interview. Your admissions interview is your opportunity to tell us who you are in ways that a written application cannot. Knowing what to expect will allow you to relax and successfully showcase your skills in person.

Be prepared. If you're prepared, then you'll feel confident and get the most out of your Booth interview. Your interviewer wants to understand your strengths and development areas, but they also want to get to know you as a person and learn how you can contribute to the Booth community.

Anticipate questions that may be asked. Put yourself in the shoes of your interviewer - what would you want to know about you? Then ask yourself those questions.

Use the interview as a learning opportunity. The interview is also an opportunity for you to discover more about Booth. Your interview will be conducted by either an alum or a current student and you should have an opportunity to ask them questions at the end of the interview. Your interviewer can provide insight into what the Booth experience is like.

Dress for success. This is a formal interview so business attire is considered the most appropriate form of dress.

Plan in advance. You don't want to be stressed out on the day of the interview so make sure you've planned for the interview logistics. Do you have directions and a copy of your resume? Also, try to arrive a few minutes in advance of the interview. This will give you a few moments to relax and collect your thoughts.

Be yourself. We know that you might feel a little nervous, but try to enjoy the interview. We really want to get to know who you are, so don't be afraid to let your personality shine.

On behalf of the Admissions team, good luck!

I second that.
If you guys could copy/paste that email that would be greatly appreciated. I too unsubscribed after a similarly cruel email from Booth.

I am. If I got a dollar for every time I refreshed my email in the last 2 weeks,I wouldn't have to worry about the steep tuition ..bah!

For some reason I was expecting something groundbreaking lol. Still nice to see what the Adcom wants you to know prior to the interview though.

I'm an Indian too desperately waiting for that priceless invite...somehow I feel that not many Indian have received an invite! Hope that is true :)

On a side note, I read in another blog that B-schools (not specifically Booth) like to get through the US applicants first (since they have to schedule on-campus interviews and stuff) before getting to the international applicants. I hope that helps calm some nerves!

There is so much speculation about the way interview invitations are rolled out. I read (probably on GMAT Club) just yesterday (or did someone tell me? damn! don't remember what happened yesterday, this process is surely taking its toll) that Wharton clears out its internationals file first while sending out invites. So may be for every Booth, there is a Wharton. Or may be I'm wrong. Guess what I'm trying to say is that all this speculation is no use. I'll wait silently for another 7 days.

On this page alone, we have 5 Indians waiting - vsetia, sarah, riksuba, mohit and myself.
