I believe March 22nd is the decision deadline for Yale. (Not sure where February 24th came from...)

somebody on the forum said that the latest date for interview notifications was most likely a month before the deadline. Unsubstantiated information.

Couldn't find it on the web, but it was in an email Yale SOM sent to Consortium applicants:

Quote:
Admissions Decisions: All Yale SOM Consortium admissions decisions will be sent by 5PM EST on February 24, 2012. You will be contacted by our office via email when your admissions decision is available. In January 2012, we will send log-in instructions for the Yale SOM application site which you will use to access your Yale SOM admissions decision on February 24, 2012. Our application site is to only be used for viewing your admissions decision.

Is this for round 1? or consortium?
If you can please share some of your experiences with the whole process.

Consortium R2, ranked #1, and had a local alumni interview.

I had been contacted by consortium contacts at the school, we exchanged emails and had a great telephone conversation about the whole process and school. My alumni interview was awesome, she had a similar background as myself and was super relaxing and sincere. Our interview was very back and forth, with a conversational feel. Everyone I have interacted with made me feel very comfortable and happy with my decision to rank them so high.

Consortium R2 calls and emails went out today and conclude tomorrow.

Was lucky enough to be offered a spot. Am very likely to matriculate (pending financial aid).

Would love to hear from those who chose Yale over other schools in R1. What was your decision based upon and what other schools were you considering?

For me, in all honesty, it was 40% about the program and the sense that the school is on the cusp of really big things, 10% about the new building, and 50% about the other people I met at Winter Welcome, and the admitted student events we've been having. We've been arranging, on our own, an informal happy hour every couple of weeks for admits in the NY-metro, and I've gotta say, it backs up the fact that these people are awesome. PM me if you want to talk more.

Good luck with your choosing. Go with your gut.

Whenever your application is ready. They won't review it before the deadline.
