The GMAT will probably play an extremely minor role in recruitment. Financial institutions can gauge an applicant's mathematical aptitude through their own numerical tests. Your GMAT is already excellent. Without a doubt, it's definitely time to move on.

Absolutely not! Your time would be better served working on the other areas of your application. You have the score to get into any business school. Getting into the best one possible will matter way more than getting a 47 on Quant. No need to retake.

Congratulations my good friend. It is a great score that I am even hoping to get when I take the GMAT in February 2012. Just apply. Studying and restudying for the examination is not that easy.
