Guys, anyone willing to share insights on the system word limit? It turns out that the system calculate "out-of-date" as 3 words instead of 1. That way, my essays are slightly over limit in the system. How did you deal with that? Do you cut words or just leave it as it is? Appreciate inputs!

My essays were below the limit, so I cannot give you 100% sure advice, but generally they don't mind if you are a few words over the limit. However, given that Haas uses a textbox for essays instead of uploading files, I'd suggest that you check the preview of your application to make sure it does not cut off the extra words.

Thanks for the input. I think to be safe, I would make cuts to get below the limit. Btw, the preview pdf looks ugly in format... They really should invest $ on the system.
I would also be interested in knowing that... The waiting time is starting to feel long...
Ditto .. its been way too long now ...
Same - R2 applicant...*crickets*

Yeah... Its been too long, but until now nobody who has received the confirmation email saying that the application is ready for review around Dec 20th has confirmed an invitation to interview.... so PLEASE, if someone has... let us know!! Too much time waiting and no news at all
Does someone know how it was for R2 applicants last year?
R2 applicant 11/28/12: application submitted 12/10/12: received confirmation email in between - received *many emails 1/14/13: invited to super saturday
I'm sure interview invitations for R2 are still going out...
Haha, any time! It still feels surreal because I've been waiting for SO LONG to get this invite! I hope they don't "retrieve" my invitation by saying that they made a mistake in the system or something!
Submitted for R3! Took three hours in cutting every essay into exact word limits. Honestly, this is my best and very last application. Good luck to all who sit in in R3!

Thanks for the update!
To be honest, I'd think that in fact you were among the earliest to get an invite for R2. There was a facebook or blog post (can't remember) from admissions that said interview invites will start going out in January. Considering they had to make final decisions/update applications/inform applicants for R1 last week, I don't think many interview invites have been sent so far.

Yea, I figured since R1 applicants were hearing back last week... I was getting so anxious (especially with some R2 applicants on this forum who received some sort of interview invites, whether Super Saturday or not, before the holiday closure).

Awesome dude! Can I ask when super saturday is exactly? I'm going to think positive hoping for an interview invite and want to start laying out my *potential* Q1 schedule.
